Red yeast rice, produced by the fermentation of the Monascus purpureus mold, has been used for a long time in Chinese traditional medicine. Monacolin K from red yeast rice contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.	Fish oil holds high quantities of omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids – eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). EPA and DHA help to maintain heart health and contribute to normal cardiac function.

Triple protection of Monacolin K

Monacolin K is a substance very sensitive to oxygen presence. Due to this, it´s necessary to protect it against oxygenation and possible damage:

Outer capsule is made of material that prevents oxygen from entering the closed capsule (and also protects fish oil)
Fish oil inside the capsule is another barrier preventing Monacolin K pellets from oxygen
Micropellets are covered with special coat preventing from oxygen entering the core of Monacolin K
